Beaches should remain within provincial control as part of Ontario Parks. For many years have enjoyed stopping in at Beach 1 as a pit stop on my way home from camping at Awenda. Being able to access the park with my RV/Trailer while using my Awenda park camping permit has been awesome. The beach has always been well maintained and have enjoyed the boardwalk and the protected areas for grass and birds (plovers?). I've seen the town of Wasaga decline the last few visits and don't believe they are in a position to take over this very important responsibility. Keep it public and accessible. If any lands need to be opened up, for development, consider the inland park lands.
