I believe this is a terrible idea. The environment and our parks need protecting! Tourism is good but when it comes at a cost to our sensitive and important areas, it’s not as important. In 10,20, or 50 years when we have sold off and built on all our ecologically significant land and our children and grandchildren say “ you cared more about money than about our future” what then? It’s not happening now, so who cares? But climate change is happening, we are seeing more extreme weather, wildfires, floods, droughts but billionaire need more money… right? Your friends need more money, right? I just can’t understand how we have come to a point where it’s every person for themselves. That doesn’t affect me so I don’t care. None of your money will matter when the world is burning. When we don’t have enough rain to grow crops or enough clean water to drink. Everything is connected and when we stop protecting land and let developers make money, this will happen. I think our provincial government has forgotten that they have a duty to the people. Stop this non-sense. Do something good for our future for once, please.
