We need MORE provincial parks not less of them. Protect the environment by keeping Wasaga Beach Provincial Park as just that, a provincial park.
I have been going to Wasaga Beach for my entire life and specifically, I grew up going (and still go) to the provincial park for day use. I’ve always found it to be a quieter, more comfortable beach experience while still being an easy walking distance to Beach area 1 if you so choose. The provincial park is so well maintained and is a much more family friendly experience. Beach area one becomes crowded fast with parties and large groups but, the provincial park allows for people who may not enjoy that setting to still enjoy the beach and town of Wasaga Beach.
There are other ways to boost tourism. Protect our environment and leave the Provincial Park alone!
