Wasaga Beach is an important stopover point for many migratory birds. It is a recognized nesting site for piping plover, a threatened and endangered species globally. Transfer of land outside of Wasaga Beach PP to allow tourism development is putting these sensitive species at risk. Please reconsider this change and consider alternative sites for tourism development.
