I strongly oppose selling provincial parkland for development. The Wasaga Beach proposal is especially objectionable because of the presence of the endangered Piping Plover on proposed development lands.
Given humankind's grim impacts on biodiversity, I feel that both the abandonment of the Endangered Species Act and any proposed legislation for encouraging park or nature reserve sales for development are unacceptable.
