There must be a way to support the economy and make improvements to the Wasaga beach area that does not involve using land from the provincial park.
The provincial park is one of the last remaining nesting grounds for the endangered Piping Plover in Ontario. These shorebirds were able to make a comeback since 2007, thanks to years of careful stewardship and protection.
I've been to Wasaga many times and agree it is a lovely place. It does not need to expand, it just needs a facelift and better use of the existing developed areas.
Doug needs to stop bulldozing our province's natural wildlife habitats and beautiful provincial parks for the benefit of his development buddies.
Just stop!
