This proposal is not only cruel to the environment, it is unnecessary in all regards. Wasaga Beach already has an excellent tourist environment with good accomodations. It would be a disgrace to the local populace and the environment to sell off pieces of land for development. It would be wise to keep these lands in the Crown and preserve their heritage by leaving them well alone.
These amendments will cause damage to wildlife, plants, and ecosystems surrounding Wasaga Beach, in turn reducing the actual beauty and attraction of Wasaga. It is easy to see that this proposal will end in destruction of local habitats, and only serve to support Ford and his developer connections which has nothing to do with tourism or supporting the local populace of Wasaga. It's just a bunch of frilly good-sounding statements trying to cover up the real goal of killing plants and animals in favour of owning, controlling, and selling land to investors. It's shameful. Please do not pass this amendment. Bill 5 is horrible enough.
