Living on the southern shore of Georgian Bay, observing and chatting with MNR staff and other fish conservation groups, they all have the same concern. Whenever they try to stock the Bay with Lake or Rainbow trout a substantial number of newly stocked Fry are immediately consumed by the large nearby Cormorant population. A substantial cull is long overdue. Why are we spending tax dollars and countless hours of volunteer time to feed and expand the Cormorant population.
