I am alarmed by the proposal to allow selling off parts of Provincial Parks to private interests. Provincial Parks are meant to be protected in perpetuity to allow Ontarians to enjoy the beautiful nature of this province. Most people can't afford to own a cottage and many can't afford a vacation rental. Provincial Parks and other protected lands make it possible for almost anyone to enjoy some time in nature. With our growing population, this need will only become greater.
Another important aspect is the protection of vulnerable plants and animals in Provincial Parks and Conservation Areas. These Parks belong to everyone. It would be immoral to sell them off for the benefit and profit of a few individuals and companies!
