This proposal claims that it will continue to "protect the area's natural and cultural heritage." However, this legislation and the proposed removal of lands from Wasaga Provincial Park is a ploy to more easily sell the land to developers.
This proposal is not in the best interest of Ontarians and seeks to further enrich private sector elites who already have too much money as it stands. If the land is to be sold at all, it should be given back to indigenous communities as per landback.
