I support keeping the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006, and Historical Parks Act the same. I do not support making changes to these acts in order to support the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal.
It is important to keep the nesting ground in tact for the piping plover. It is critical that we protect our provincial parks such as Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is a beautiful park with the largest freshwater beach in the world. I do not support taking land away from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. The park supports habitat for wildlife and animals. It is important not to cut down the trees which support combating climate change and provide beautiful forests for recreation (hiking, walking, biking). Wasaga Beach Provincial Park supports local tourism because the area is still natural and undeveloped.
