This beach is not just for humans, it is a thriving ecosystem that requires our stewardship and protection. The only reason to transfer it out of a provincial park is for someone else to profit, when it is currently benefitting us all. We rely on the dune habitat to filter water, maintain land integrity, and provide habitat for many plants and animal species. Including the critically endangered piping plover that only has a few sites left to nest. My question is, why is the government making us submit comments to let you know that we value the land and its gifts over the profit that you will receive. Remember that it is you that works for us. Please do not begin the trend of selling provincial parks to be developed.
