You absolutely need to preserve Wasaga beach as it currently is. The piping plover population depends on it. Build nearby but don't take away their nesting sites. This beach is super important for our ecosystem to work! We need to not only care about humans and humans only. We need to care about the wildlife and their habitats too! They can't just move over somewhere else. Their population would once again go down after all this work we have done to get their numbers back up!
Have a heart and think about the land and animals this planet came with, don't only think about humans and money. When all the wildlife goes, we go too. It's not worth it.
Please don't get rid of the piping plover nesting sites at Wasaga beach. Preserve them and let them thrive.
