People visit provincial parks to spend time in nature. They are not looking for urban entertainment; quite the opposite.
As the population of Ontario increases it is vital that no existing provincial parks be decreased in area. Instead of selling off sections of this, or any other, park, the government should be working to create more.
Wasaga Beach is a beautiful area
beloved of Ontarians, but visitors from overseas are not going to flock there no matter how many tourist attractions are created.
Given the unique land formation and the rare and endangered species endemic to the area, development of any kind would be environmentally inappropriate.
Please, do not start down the slippery slope of selling off or allowing development in our Provincial Parks.
