It is always against the public interest to sell public land. If sold, it's lost to everyone who would enjoy the area, lost to the wildlife, the resources are lost, and the government is poorer over time. This is short sighted thinking and will only benefit a small number of already wealthy people who will hoard everything that land has to offer away from the public for nothing but short term profit. They'll pollute it, the lake, and surrounding waterways, build it up, cause environmental disasters in the surrounding area like flooding. No intelligent government should be selling public park lands that are a huge longterm investment and resource that benefits every person in Ontario regardless of income. We already know Ford is a sellout who doesn't care about anyone but the wealthy. This proposal is another disgusting example of that behavior.
