I strongly oppose to this proposed change.
I live near waterfront and it is essential that the natural habitat be protected to endure stability of the land and prevention of erosion.
Further," Canada has a goal of ensuring 30% of all its lands and waters are under some environmental protection by 2030, as a result of signing on to the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework along with 195 other countries in 2022."
How is removing protected land from the registry going to keep you in line with this target?
Finally, there are numerous species that live in this area ,such as the piping plover whose habitat will be destroyed if you chose to remove the protection. Please don't let this happen.
