The decision to open a significant portion of our provincial park to development is extremely disappointing. These parks are a finite resource of our province and a vital part of protecting our natural wildlife habitats and species for future generations, every protected green space we have are essential to keeping Canada the natural beauty She is. The munincipality has shown repeatedly that they do not care for this fact, and to allow them to rip up and destroy our nature preserves for the sake of a quick buck in one of our most famous parks is shameful.
Truthfully, Wasagas tourism is failing because they are not putting effort into restoring the tourism areas they already have, my family used to love going to wasaga when I was a child, but now as an adult I go and I see tons of shops that are failing, a strip over saturated with non local businesses, and taking away more green spaces will reduce tourism, people do go places to see green spaces, we are Canadian, we love our national parks and being in nature.
