This is a terrible idea…

This is a terrible idea. Besides the fact that it will lead to privatizing the beach and blocking access to residents and tourists in favour of wealthy beachfront property owners I've seen no mention of the impact on the breeding/nesting grounds of the endangered piping plovers that are located between beach one and new wasaga beach since before people were here. Is the plan to just wipe out an entire population of endangered birds? Haven't enough birds been affected by the raping of their habitat at ontario place? Why do we have an environment ministry if no one gives a damn about the environment or the creatures that dwell within it? This is a cash grab for thr government. The people of wasaga don't want it. I have lived here for over a decade and been in the area my whole life. This needs to be stopped so it doesn't kill the tourism that carries the town but more importantly to protect the birds and wildlife that call the beach and bay home.
