There will be no natural heritage nor Piping Plovers in wasaga Beach if this parkland is thrown into the hands of the Town of Wasaga Beach! They have already ordered a new beach groomer to destroy the naturally protective Beach grasses that other parks are scurrying to get back on their previously groomed beaches. Shame on Ontario Parks for even considering destroying so many years of work to restore Piping Plover naturally protective habitat, not to mention an endangered species!
Every year my friends and I make a special trip to see Wasagas Piping Plovers, have a meal, sometimes stay overnight. If this travesty happens, Wasaga will make sure the birds disappear, and so will the birders! We couldn't bare to ever go there again to witness the destruction.
