I am opposed to these proposed changes. The proposal says this is part of the “Plan to Protect Ontario,” and yet this would open up an incredibly important natural area to development. Allowing the destruction of the homes and breeding grounds for animals is in no way protecting the lands on which we live. As an example, Wasaga beach is the most productive breeding area for birds called Piping Plovers in the province. The section of the proposal “Regulatory Impact Analysis” makes no mention of the impacts this development would have on the wildlife and waters of the area. The Government of Ontario has responsibility to more than just the humans that inhabit this province. I implore you to reject this proposal.
