I am completely opposed to this, as I am to every attempt to sell off public property and public assets. Public parkland isn't for sale. At least, it shouldn't be.
This is not going to protect the environment of the park. It's going to make someone rich, and make the public poorer. Just like Ontario Place. And, for that matter, Highway 407, which we should buy back. Or rather, expropriate. Then there would be no need for a tunnel under the 401 (like that would even be possible).
Developers must not be allowed to pay to pave over protected ecosystems, let alone get them for free.
