I’m very concerned about the precedent this will set for all of our provincial parks. We value our protected green space over the sale and commodification of our precious parks. We can allow tourist growth without sacrificing our values. This change in policy and legislature goes against the moral compass of many in our community who use and value our protected spaces. When the ice storm destroyed many trails and outdoor areas we showed up in droves to volunteer our time to restore what we hold dear. We will hopefully do the same now by standing up to oppose this proposal before the destruction occurs.
