I strongly oppose this proposal. Ontario Provincial Park lands are vital to the health of our community members and our environment. As a physician working in a town with nearby access to a Provincial Park, I see this firsthand. Furthermore, reducing environmentally protected lands brings us further away from our Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework obligations. Putting economic development ahead of protecting green space and park lands is short-sighted.
