I umplore the Ontario government to keep the habitat for the piping plover.
In my life I have watched the decline of the Plover.
Ducks Unlimited along with government created the reserves along the eastern seaboard of the US to protect the plover. This includes land close to New York City. It is an important breeding ground. This is also a section go Long Beach Island maintained for this purpose.
We need to maintain the Great Lakes corridor as well. Wasaga Beach has important habitant for the Plover.
Perhaps we could put cameras in so that people across Ontario and the world could see the cute birds. Great PR. A feel good story for Ontario. We should be proud of this work.
