The proposal talks about continuing to support Wasaga beach's natural and cultural heritage but will do the opposite. The Town has already removed many trees, natural habitats and a lot of the character that makes it such a popular destination in order to build expensive developments that cater to elite not the general public. Taking half the beach from the public park will remove important habitat, cause overcrowdimg and remove natural protective features such as trees, dunes, sands. My family & I have spent many years swimming there are spending money at local businesses. The development trend in Ontario is to reduce beautiful parks and beaches everyone can enjoy for parking lots and expensive homes for those well off. Keep the beach, the park and build up elsewhere.
