The proposed sale of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park under Bill 5 is a shortsighted move that threatens a cherished natural treasure in favor of special interests. This land offers Ontarians a space for recreation and connection with nature. Selling it off risks irreversible environmental damage and prioritizes short-term gain(and insider gain) over long-term ecological and cultural value. Protecting our provincial parks ensures future generations can enjoy these irreplaceable landscapes.
