One of the last piping plover strongholds is Wasaga Beach — the world’s longest freshwater beach — home to one of Ontario’s most unique and fragile coastal dune ecosystems. Established in 1959 to protect both nature and public access to one of Ontario’s natural gems- why now would you even consider developing further into an already over extended ecosystem. The inability to think even one generation ahead, let alone 7 or 9 as is required if we have any chance of human survival - is starkly missing in this plan. Stop the development of Wasaga beach. Honestly, enough is enough, I guess comes when we are all in full and complete suffering and health decline due to over development and loss of habitat.
