I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed sale and development of public land at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park which is home to a number of endangered species. Provincial Parks are meant to protect nature, support our biodiversity and provide safe, accessible green space for everyone. Selling parts of Provincial Park is in contradiction to this and sets a dangerous precedent. Selling land to private ventures "for profit" is totally against what the Provincial Park system was set up for. Wasaga Beach is a world renowned landmark, and severing it for profit and to benefit the fortunate few does not seem right at all.
