I am strongly opposed to the removal of any lands from existing Federal and Provincial parks and other protected lands and habitats such as the green belt. This is a step backwards and a betrayal of future generations. Development of protected green space brings short term financial gain at the expense of the future population. Development of protected lands puts negative pressure on wildlife, the environment, and people’s access to open natural spaces. Natural spaces are essential for mental health and environmental health. Don’t pillage the parks!
