Do not remove any lands from ANY Provincial Park! With the increasing development pressure on southern Ontario, we should be adding more lands to parks if anything. The endangered piping plover is on the verge of extinction and this is one of the few beaches that produces successful nests year after year. After these lands are transfered to the city, how can we trust that the area won't be designated a "special economic zone" so the protections for piping plovers can just be completely ignored in the name of progress and growth? Please listen to the people who elected you and do not remove any protected lands from any park or protection act.
