Wassaga Beach Provincial Park and all Provincial Parks belong to the people of Ontario. They especially belong to all the species whose home it is, like killdeers and piping plovers, who already are endangered.
I strongly oppose the removal of protected lands from provincial parks. These parks protect endangered species, sensitive ecosystems, and the natural heritage that connects our communities and they protectus from climate disasters.
I urge you to reinstate the Endangered Species Act and strengthen protections for the Piping Plover and other at-risk species. I demand that you withdraw proposals to sell off parts Wassaga Beach and other Provincial Parks and all changes to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act.
Ontario parks belong to the people not developers. Keep our Provincial parks in public hands forever.
