I do not suppot this proposal. Please note my opposition to removing environmental protection for lands in Wasaga Beach and Nancy Island.
As the climate warms due to climate change we need to preserve, restore and expand protected natural areas more than ever.
The area in question includes roughly 60% of the Park’s celebrated Georgian Bay shoreline lands and critical habitat of the endangered piping plover.
Your government has shamedully passed Bill 5 eliminating The Endangered Species Act while still claiming to care about endangered species. Well here's your chance. Please preserve the habitat for the piping plover and other species at Wasaga Beach and Nancy Island.
Do not approve this proposal.
