We should not allow the provincial government to move forward with these hazardous and dangerous plans, driven by short-term profit rather than logic and long-term thinking. In these times with increased impacts of climate change, it is irresponsible and reckless to develop this parkland and remove its provincial protections. Its natural sand dunes act as barriers and protection during storms which are statistically more and more common as we continue to see the effects of burning fossil fuels on our planet.
