Please do NOT break up this naturally developed long stretch of beach. The plovers are not the only wildlife that thrive in this habitat. If you count insects and amphibians and waterbugs that provide food for many birds as well, rezoning this land for tourism and roads will cause havoc in these populations. PLEASE count this beach, already in a provincial park, as an existing piece of the 30% goal for Ontario’s protected lands, and leave it alone.
