The actions the government has proposed will have an irreversible negative consequence for the longest fresh water beach in the world. Future generations of Ontarian's have the right to experience the natural beauty of Wasaga Beach as previous generations. Wasaga Beach is not for this current government or generation to sell. The proposed sale is a dangerous precedent and threatens the future of all Ontario Provincial Parks. And I remind this current government, the mandate of Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006 "The purpose of this Act is to permanently protect a system of provincial parks and conservation reserves that includes ecosystems that are representative of all of Ontario’s natural regions, protects provincially significant elements of Ontario’s natural and cultural heritage, maintains biodiversity and provides opportunities for compatible, ecologically sustainable recreation"
Shame on the current government for skirting their responsibilities as stewards of our provincial parks!
