I was extremely disappointed to learn that the Ontario government is proposing to divest itself of the area of Wasaga Beach that has in recent years been a nesting site of the endangered piping plover. Conservationists have worked hard to protect the plovers and ensure that they can breed successfully at this site. Surely that is one reason we have provincial parks - to preserve our natural resources. I trust that the government will listen to the people and reconsider this action.
