Public parkland isn't for sale. It took many years and the cooperation of all parties to get our system of provincial parks and reserves in place back in the early 1990s. This was an achievement to ensure the natural heritage and environment of Ontario would continue.
Developers must not be allowed to pay to pave over protected ecosystems. As mentioned above, special areas were set aside as provincial parks to the benefit of the people of Ontario and our future. There is enough of the rest of the land of Ontario available for developers that we do NOT need to give them even 1% of our provincial parks and lands.
Ontario needs stronger protections for the environment – not weaker ones. Please stop destroying our province for short term financial gain. Do the right thing so you are remembered positively in history, as a Premier that stood for everything ALL of the public loves, not just serving to profit a few.
