I am writing to speak against the expansion of tourism in Wasaga Beach which threatens the nesting habitat of the Piping Plovers. I have recently visited protected Plovers nesting areas in Nova Scotia and can attest that the conservation of the dune area benefits the local community by stabilizing the waterfront and beach area. People go to Wasaga for the beach. Please protect the beach and the natural habitat over bringing in shops. Thank you.
