Protecting Ontario's ecological integrity should be just as important to the Ontario Government, as it is to Ontario citizens. Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is one of Ontario Parks' most popular sites, and attracts tourists from across the world. Alongside this, the park has worked diligently to protect species at risk such as the Monarch Butterfly and Piping Plover throygh protecting vitao habitats abd monitoring species. These protections, however, are not guarenteed to remain if precious habitat is taken out of the control of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Following the Greenbelt Scandal, along with Bill 5, any good will that the population of Ontario has with Doug Ford regarding environmental protections will be erased if the proposal to take parts of Wasaga Beach away from Ontario Parks is actualized. In the face of Donald Trump's America, let's protect what makes Ontario great, rather than sell it off for short-term gains.
