I support the proposal. I am often fishing on lake Simcoe and notice the sheer number of cormorants on the lake. I have noticed a population boom in the last decade. I can imagine the stress that these birds put on the fishing populations.
I think controlled population management of this species would benefit other organisms that share the same niche. Likewise, fish populations are already heavily stressed, and this could help them recover.
