The sale of provincial…

The sale of provincial parkland directly contradicts the purpose of having that land as a protected area. A quick cash grab is not worth the sacrifice required.

Protected natural resources are meant to be nurtured and maintained. Land is a finite resource. Areas that have not been developed and where ecosystems have not been destroyed is what sets Canada apart from other nations. Each area of protected forest and marsh supports smaller ecosystems vital to the health of the provincial ecosystem as a whole.

If put to a referendum, the suggestion of selling this area would be rejected by the citizens of Ontario. Elected officials are suppose to represent and protect the citizens of their riding…. Not sell the land out from under them!

Keep your hands off our provincial parks!
