I am writing today as a concerned citizen and a lover of birds. Having heard the news of the possibility of a sale of Wasaga Beach, I'm deeply concerned about the impact of this decision on the highly vulnerable and endangered Piping Plover population. Please do not allow this sale to go through. This population needs Wasaga Beach to continue to bounce back from near extinction and a sale of the beach will commodify an area that needs desperately to be preserved.
