This proposal is long overdue. It will benefit the province, Town of Wasaga Beach and the people of Ontario by giving local control, using local knowledge, to benefit the users of the beaches. For too long have I watched these beaches be ignored by the province, with the occasional stop-gap measures being done.

Unfortunately there is a disinformation campaign going on, stating that the beaches are going to be sold to developers. This is simply not true, the Town has stated as much! No doubt this campaign will generate many negative comments about the proposal. I hope the Province will weed out those misinformed comments when it goes to make it's decision.
