I am concerned that this action will result in the removal of very limited space available for nesting birds, in particular the Piping Plover, which are enjoying a modest recovery. The application does not mention environmental impacts or objectives. If the plan were to promote the site as a nesting space for birds, and ensure that the nesting sites are not affected, it could go ahead but the guarantees for the birds nesting area should continue to be protected.
