I am very strongly opposed to the proposal to transfer land from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park to the town of Wasaga Beach. This is an absolutely horrible idea. Provincial Parks should not be decreased in size. If anything they should be enhanced. This case is particularly egregious because the park includes the best breeding habitat for the critically endangered Piping Plover. The town of Wasaga Beach does not need more land. It must make do with what it has. Development can not proceed at all costs.
