As a resident of Ontario and one who frequents provincial parks throughout the year, I am alarmed by this proposal to convert public lands, preserved for their natural wonder to private ownership to make a handful of people rich. Ontario's natural heritage should not be for sale and as a current stakeholder and owner of these lands I do not support this sale.
The government of Ontario has repeatedly shown wanton disregard for the people of Ontario, the natural heritage of Ontario, and the future of Ontario. The government has shown it is willing to sell anything, including the greenbelt, licenses to kill endangered species, and our water safety through attaches on conservation authorities.
Wasaga beach is an global natural wonder and deserves to be expanded to further protect this shoreline and ecosystem.
I do not support this proposal.
