I do not agree with the proposal to transfer any public lands in Provincial Parks to any townships or cities. I do not agree with any changes to remove any lands protected by the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act.

Wasaga Beach is an incredibly important natural habitat for endangered species, how would these proposed changes 'continue to support the area’s natural heritage' by removing all legal protections from development, pollution, and the wildlife from harassment? Stating that in the proposal is a blatant lie in my opinion, the endangered piping plover nests there, how on earth will they we able to do that with zero legal protecting on a now privatized beach with construction etc. This proposal sets a terrible precedent that should any township lobby the provincial government hard enough they can be given what they want.

Wasaga beach is an incredible natural tourist resource in itself, why should the rest of Ontarian's who would want to visit and the endangered wildlife suffer because the township has mismanaged, not adequately advertised or not taken advantage of the already incredible tourism generator the Provincial Park is in itself.

I don't visit a natural wonder like Wasaga beach for another mediocre restaurant, or motel on the beach or tourist trinket shop, I am there to respect and appreciate the beach and the wildlife that lives there. Let's think of better ways of supporting the township rather than simply handing over the beach which they will only mismanage and further privatize. There is already minimal public leisure space in Ontario, taking this away and allowing a township to make more poor decisions is very ill advised.
