Apart from the environmental effects and extirpation of this endangered species, please consider that “tourism enhancement” would be more effective and profitable if this critical habitat was protected and piping plover populations were able to flourish. Tourism in Canada is drive by interest in the natural environment and wildlife that is a staple of our county. Protecting wildlife and biodiversity is an important part of maintaining interest in Canadian tourism.
