Please don't sell off this land. The beaches and provincial parks are already so crowded and selling off beachfront land limits the amount of people that can continue to access this area affordably. Public beaches are important. This is also not doing anything to fix the housing crisis so it doesn't seem very justified. Land not the beach can be used to build more tourist areas and would also theoretically be able to serve more people as the beach would not be private and limited to the people staying in that hotel, for example. Like you could build 4 hotels within walking distance of the beach whose patrons can use the same stretch of beach that would be taken up by 1 hotel if the hotel was built on the beach.
