I have recently learned about this proposal concerning Wasaga Beach and I have concerns that there may not end up being sufficient guidelines in place to protect the habitat of the piping plover if the transfer takes place. Piping plovers are very sensitive to disruptions in their habitats and it can be more difficult for them to breed successfully. Although developing the tourist industry has its merits, preserving populations of bird species is also important. Once human behaviours negatively impact the natural world, it is hard to go back and the changes can be forever. Please consider this in the proposed changes. Thank you very much.
